The menu offers diners traditional Greek dishes reimagined, such as deconstructed moussaka, kefalograviera (saganaki) with cumquat composta and baklava nuts, or kolokithosalata (zucchini salad) with chargrilled pumpkin and pomegranate. You will also find popular Greek dishes made the traditional way on the menu, such as fried local kalamari, lamb keftethes, and watermelon feta salad. The desserts here certainly won’t disappoint either – galaktoboureko (filo pastry & vanilla custard) with Greek yoghurt ice cream, loukoumades (Greek donuts) with apricot composta ice cream and coconut, or burnt cacao halva with saffron ice cream and fresh blackberries.

Other Greek restaurants near Lorne and along the Great Ocean Road

The following two restaurants are not only renowned Greek restaurants near Lorne and along the Great Ocean Road, but also renowned for the cuisine throughout Victoria and Australia.
A La Grecque Restaurant Aireys Inlet
A La Grecque is one of the most renowned restaurants on the Great Ocean Road and in regional Victoria. The phrase “A La Grecque” in French translates to “Greek Style” and the restaurant was established by Kosta Talimanidis and his wife Pam. The Talimanidis family has been in restaurants for over forty years and this restaurant is a testament to their hard work. A La Grecque even tops Matt Preston’s guide to the Great Ocean Road!
Kosta and Pam spent 27 years running the famous Kosta’s Greek Restaurant Lorne (Kostas Taverna) until they sold the restaurant in 2002. Although they planned to retire Kosta went back into the restaurant business with A La Grecque in Aireys Inlet. The philosophy of the restaurant is “fresh is best”. The dolmades are made from the vine leaves of the grapes in their garden, and they even use the chickens, ducks, alpacas, and pheasants from their 7-acre farm just out of Lorne.
